Steve Jobs Day - 10/14/11

Today we celebrate the man who changed the world and "pushed the human race forward."

Head on over to the Rockwell Tent at 5:30 pm and join the celebration. Here's the invite from the Steve Jobs Day Facebook page:

"We take this day to honor and say thank you to the man himself.
      - wear the trademark turtleneck-Levi's-sneakers attire in honor of Steve Jobs
        - come and pay tribute in any form, be it in written or spoken word, song, dance, imagery or video. Artists, musicians, writers, DJs, businessmen, secretaries, students and housewives--anyone who was touched by Steve, are all invited
          - join the iPhone-light vigil (or iPod, or iPad, or MacBook)
            - Bring your old stuff to display in the museum of Apple artifacts
              - write in dedication postcards that will be sent to Cupertino.

Please send an email to philmug_mail@mac.com if you wish to be included in the roster of tributes/performances. Let us know what you'll be doing (please limit to 10 minutes) and what you'll need.

*Disclaimer: This is purely a tribute organized by the Philippine Mac Users Group (PhilMUG.ph), with support from some local businesses who wish to be a part of and ensure the success of SJD Philippines. No one at Apple is in any way involved, nor have they contributed anything to this event."

There'll be meet-ups in other countries as well! Check out the Steve Jobs Day website created for this.

              See you later!
